Venezuela - Country Overview

The location of Venezuela is in Northern South America, it is bordering the Caribbean Sea and the North side of the Atlantic Ocean, a between Colombia and Guyana. Angel Falls in the Guiana Highlands is the largest waterfall that exists in the whole world. Venezuela consist of a very large population, an specific number of people is 27,635,743 and the type of government is Federal Republic and it's political state is a republic. Venezuela has progressed a lot in education between the past years until today. In literacy rates, the percent of people over the age of 14 that can read and write is 93%. Venezuela's official language is Spanish, also a numerous of indigenous dialects. The major percent of religion in Venezuela is the Roman Catholic and it is of 96%. The birth rate is larger than the death rate, 20.1 births and 5.17, also the life expectansy is of 73.93. Ethnic groups consist of Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Arab, German, African, and Indigenous people. Venezuela has a an open legal system and an adversarial court system. To be able to vote people should be 18 years or older. The unemployment rate is of 12.1% and the population blow the poverty line is 37.9%. Another good thing about Venezuela is that is has a lot of industries such as petroleum, construction materials, food processing, textiles, iron ore mining, steel, aluminum motor vehicle assembly. The main communication is by telephones, percent of people with telephones is 6.867 and with mobile telephones is 28.124. To enter the military you have to to be 18-30 years old. The 3 main transnational issues are Disputes, Traficking in persons, Illicit drugs.
